Steve Ellis

Steve Ellis has over 30 years experience in M&A and senior accounting roles in the US and internationally. He brings a unique blend of M&A, financial, commercial and analytical skills to help businesses grow both organically and through M&A. He has managed the acquisition, negotiation and due diligence processes of more than 40 transactions at a value in excess of $2 billion, as well as creating and executing post-acquisition integration plans.

Steve pursued the early part of his career at Cadbury Schweppes plc, Philips Consumer Electronics and Smiths Group plc. In 1999, he relocated from the UK to the US, where he was instrumental in propelling Smiths Detection’s sales from $50 million to $1 billion in less than eight years through M&A and other corporate development transactions.

After graduating with Honors from the business school at the Warwick University, Steve qualified as a Chartered Management Accountant (UK equivalent of CPA). He is actively involved in the local business community (Association of Corporate Growth) as well as volunteering activities, including Maryland New Directions and Habitat for Humanity. Steve also likes to spend time with his wife and family, as well as playing golf and tennis.
